Soaring in the skies, no people to fuel the plane!

No place on land?Air is there!

It has really been quite an insane decade.Looking from the eyes of an Indian, who has grown up in what was a rather a middle class 2nd tier city, Bangalore(Dont tell me how it is now!), and then studying engineering at a college of repute(irrespective of whether i did justice to it or not!), and working in the Indian Industry which is projected to grow at the rate of noughts over the next decade or so,it has been, least to say, CONFUSING!
But lets make peace with the fact that a skill set, or a graduate degree, which got you about 10000 Rs as salary 5 years ago, fetches you 20000, and a lakh a month job, could today be worth more than 6 digits.

One of these sectors that is set to soar, is Aeronautics, and in general, aviation.

Engineering, be it aeronautics, mechanical, structural, electronics, computer science, u name it, everyone has a place in this market.Let alone the "tech" jobs, and we see a whole host of Pilots, air staff, airport employees, and lets not forget those safety personnel who recover dead victims after a plane crash, NO ONE is left out.

The current air scenario is no doubt, much like the skies, turbulent. And lets face it, India can never get blonde haired blue eyed stewardesses to increase sales(Good try KF).Where we can stand out, is our people strength, and ability to create quality, at dirt cheap prices.
An Entrepreneur i know, who is fast moving in this space of MRO(i.e Maintenence,Repair and Overhaul), and Engine design, told me that this is going to be THE area of focus for his organisation going forward in the next half decade.
So all you engineers out there, leave that cubicle, Shove that job, and show your blond boss your brown middle finger(Read...Say "I QUIT!"), and take pride in contributing to this,YOUR, incredibly growing domestic market

Wishing you a safer journey, in life, and in the skies.
